This price includes boat, instructor, provisions, running expenses, customs and immigration fees, tests and certification fees. Not included are alcoholic beverages (for use while not under way only), personal safety equipment, expenses incurred off the boat, sextant, tables and books. Due to the nature of this course there is no textbook. We will send you a reading list, some of which you probably already have.
Prerequisites are all lower ASA certifications: Basic Sailing (ASA 101), Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA 103), Bareboat Chartering (ASA 104), Coastal Navigation (ASA 105), Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA 106) and Celestial Navigation (ASA 107). For those without ASA 107 a home study, mail order or online program in Celestial Navigation is required. Testing for the ASA 107 (Celestial Navigation) certification will be completed during or at the end of the passage. |
